Dr. John Jones

Dr. Jones grew up in the area of Pittsburgh, PA.  He graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a major in biology while completing the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corp (NROTC) Program.  The NROTC is designed to educate and train undergraduates to become future commissioned officers in the Navy.  Dr. Jones was later commissioned as a U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Officer and completed several tours of duty in the Pacific and Mediterranean theaters.

After his time in the navy Dr. Jones decided to pursue a medical career.  He attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  During medical school, he was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi and was also involved in mentoring and assisting the local community and his fellow students.

Upon graduating from medical school, Dr. Jones went on to complete his Family Medicine Residency at Eastern CT Health Network in Manchester, CT.  After residency, he then trained as a sports medicine fellow at Auburn University working and taking care of all the student athletes as well as covering all the major sports in this Division I school in the Southeastern Conference.  In addition as an assistant professor at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Jones enjoyed teaching and mentoring first and second year medical students.

In July 2017 after completing his sports medicine fellowship, Dr. Jones moved to Arizona and joined the Scottsdale Sports Medicine Institute.  He looks forward to exploring this incredibly picturesque state and helping patients of all ages lead a healthy and holistic lifestyle!
